"Our Response to Mary's Message at Fatima" - Sister Angela
de Fatima Coelho
This podcast features a talk from Sister Angela de Fatima Coelho
that she gave at the Basilica of Saint Mary on October 12,
2019.
She is a world-renowned expert on the messages of Our Lady of Fatima and has spoken to audiences worldwide.
She was the Postulator for the Cause of Jacinta and Francisco Marto, two of the children that were visionaries at Fatima, until they were canonized saints on May 13, 2017. Since 2014, she has served as Vice Postulator for the Cause of Beatification of Servant of God Sister Maria Lucia of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart, who was the cousin of Saints Jacinta and Francisco, and the third child who was a visionary at Fatima.
She is a native of Portugal and a sister with the Aliança de Santa Maria, one of the fastest growing religious order in Portugal. Part of their charism is to foster devotion to the Lord through the Immaculate Heart of Mary and announce the Gospel and the messages of Our Lady of Fatima.
She describes the significance of the messages of Our Lady of
Fatima and encourages people to prayerfully consider joining the
Basilica of Saint Mary’s new Fatima prayer group, the Luminaries of
Holy Mary.
Founded in 1795, the Basilica of Saint Mary in Old Town
Alexandria is the first Catholic parish established in Virginia.
Pope Francis named the church a minor basilica on December 6, 2017
due to its important role in the growth of the Catholic Church in
North America.
